Yamata FY-1560

is a powerhouse industrial sewing machine designed for high-precision, parallel-row stitching on heavy-weight materials. Built with a True Unison Feed (Walking Foot) mechanism, the needle, feed dog, and presser foot move in perfect synchronization to prevent material shifting, even when sewing through thick leather, multi-layered canvas, or dense synthetic webbing.

Equipped with Large Capacity Vertical-Axis Hooks, this machine reduces the frequency of bobbin changes by up to 40%, making it ideal for long-seam production. Combined with a modern Electronic Servo Motor, the FY-1560 provides the extreme piercing power needed for "tough" projects while maintaining silent operation and adjustable speed control.

  • Double-Needle Parallel Stitching: Perfect for decorative top-stitching and structural seams where two perfectly spaced rows are required simultaneously.
  • Triple Feed (Unison Feed) Technology: The synchronized movement of all three feeding elements ensures zero slippage, even on "sticky" materials like vinyl or heavy leather.
  • Large "U" Type Vertical Hooks: High-capacity bobbins allow for the use of thicker industrial threads (up to Bonded Nylon #138) without running out mid-seam.
  • High Presser Foot Clearance: A massive 16mm (5/8") knee lift allows for effortless handling of bulky foam-backed upholstery or thick webbing straps.
  • Safety Clutch Mechanism: Protects the internal timing and hooks from damage by automatically disengaging if a thread jam occurs.
  • Rectangular Feed Motion: Provides consistent feeding across all material thicknesses, preventing gathered or uneven stitches.
  • Adjustable Speed Servo Motor: The included 110V servo motor provides high torque at low speeds, perfect for technical cornering and precision leatherwork.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
