Pegasus W3664P-01G

is a high-speed, cylinder bed interlock stitch (coverstitch) machine designed for professional apparel manufacturing. It is engineered to perform hemming and coverstitching on tubular items like sleeves and necklines with unmatched precision. The "P" in the model name signifies Pegasus's patented Oil Barrier Technology, which utilizes advanced seals to prevent oil leakage from the needle bar and looper, ensuring your garments remain spotless. This machine is the ultimate solution for high-volume factories working with light to medium-weight knit fabrics.

Why Choose the Pegasus W3600P Series?

In high-speed apparel manufacturing, even a single drop of oil can ruin a high-value garment. The Pegasus W3664P-01G solves this problem at the source. By combining the highest speeds in the industry with "Dry" technology, Pegasus provides a machine that increases your output while simultaneously improving your quality control.

  • Patented Oil Barrier Technology: Features specialized seals on the needle bar and looper area to block oil spots, significantly reducing factory seconds and cleaning costs.
  • 3-Needle, 5-Thread Versatility: Capable of 3-needle coverstitching, 2-needle wide or narrow coverstitching, and decorative top-cover stitching.
  • Cylinder Bed Design: The narrow circumference of the cylinder bed makes it effortless to sew small tubular openings like children's wear, cuffs, and necklines.
  • High-Speed Productivity: Capable of reaching speeds up to 6,000 SPM, allowing for rapid production without sacrificing stitch quality.
  • Easy Stitch Adjustment: Features a "Push-Button" type stitch length regulator and a differential feed adjustment lever for handling stretchy or finicky fabrics.
  • Silent Servo Motor: Includes a 110V electronic Servo Motor that provides high torque and energy efficiency while operating in near silence.
  • Stitch Type: Interlock / Coverstitch (Stitch Type 605)
  • Number of Needles: 3
  • Number of Threads: 5
  • Max Sewing Speed: 6,000 SPM
  • Needle Gauge (Spacing): 5.6mm or 6.4mm (Standard options)
  • Stitch Length: 1.2mm to 4.4mm
  • Differential Feed Ratio: 1:0.5 to 1:1.3
  • Presser Foot Lift: 5.0mm (with top cover thread) / 7.0mm (without)
  • Needle System: UY128GAS
  • Lubrication: Fully Automatic (Oil Barrier System)

The W3664P is an indispensable tool for the knitwear and activewear industries:

  • T-Shirts: Professional hemming on sleeves and waistbands.
  • Activewear: Decorative top-stitching and flat-seaming on leggings and gym wear.
  • Underwear: Attaching elastic and finishing hems on intimate apparel.
  • Children's Wear: Navigating small tubular openings like baby onesie sleeves.
  • Sweatshirts: Durable coverstitching on cuffs and necklines.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
