Pegasus FS713P-G0
is a premier feed-off-the-arm interlock stitch machine engineered for the production of high-performance athletic wear. It creates a "Flatseam"—a 4-needle, 6-thread stitch that overlaps material edges to create a completely flat, non-irritating, and incredibly strong join. The specialized cylinder bed design allows for seamless sewing of tubular items like leggings and sleeves. Known for its "Oil-Barrier" technology, this machine ensures that high-speed production never results in oil stains on delicate performance fabrics.
Why Choose the Pegasus FS Series?
In the world of flatlock sewing, Pegasus is widely considered the market leader. The FS713P model specifically solves the two biggest problems in activewear manufacturing: seam bulk and oil contamination. By investing in a genuine Pegasus, you are ensuring that your garments meet the quality standards of global athletic retailers.
- Advanced Flatseaming: Produces a 4-needle, 6-thread interlock stitch that is flat, soft on the skin, and high-stretch—perfect for skin-tight garments.
- Oil-Barrier Technology: Features Pegasus’s world-class seals on the needle bar and looper areas to prevent oil leakage, protecting expensive light-colored fabrics.
- Feed-Off-The-Arm Cylinder Bed: Optimized for sewing tubular items like sleeves, cuffs, and leggings without the material bunching.
- Lap Seam Specialist: Specifically designed for "lapping" fabric edges to create a professional, durable finish used by major athletic brands.
- High-Speed Efficiency: Capable of reaching up to 4,200 SPM (Stitches Per Minute), significantly boosting production output.
- Dual-Action Fabric Trimmer: Includes a built-in fabric trimmer to ensure edges are perfectly aligned and clean before the stitch is applied.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs
What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?
The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.
Where does the machine oil go?
A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.
What kind of oil does this machine require?
You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.
What size table can I get with this machine?
Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.
Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?
No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR
Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
They use up to 90% less power than clutch motors
They are 1/3 lighter than clutch motors
With a flick of the switch, you can reverse motor rotation
No parts to wear out or adjust
No matter how hard you press the foot pedal, the configured speed remains the same.
