Pegasus EX3215H-A05/535

is the industry benchmark for high-speed seaming on extra-heavy-weight fabrics. It combines a 3-thread overlock with a 2-thread double chainstitch (the "safety stitch") to create an incredibly durable, professional-grade seam that will not fail under stress. Featuring Pegasus’s world-renowned oil-blocking technology and a direct-drive needle bar, this machine offers high productivity with minimal vibration, ensuring that even the thickest denim is handled with precision.

  • Safety Stitch (5-Thread) System: Produces a heavy-duty seam consisting of a 3-thread overlock and a separate 2-thread chainstitch for maximum structural integrity.
  • Extra-Heavy-Weight Specialist: Engineered with a high needle bar stroke and a specialized "tractor" presser foot to climb over thick cross-seams without skipping or stalling.
  • Direct-Drive Needle Bar: Adopts a vertical drive mechanism that eliminates link-motion, significantly reducing noise and vibration while increasing needle penetration power.
  • Advanced Oil Sealing: Features a hermetically sealed needle bar mechanism and forced-feed lubrication to prevent oil leakage, protecting your garments from stains.
  • Push-Button Stitch Adjustment: Change stitch lengths instantly with a simple push-button mechanism, eliminating the need for internal mechanical tools.
  • Micro-Adjustable Differential Feed: Fine-tune the feed ratio via a lever to prevent puckering on multi-layered fabrics or to create slight ruffles where needed.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
