is a rugged, handheld industrial sewing machine designed for the high-speed sealing of heavy-duty bags. Unlike standard single-thread models, theGK-2006-2utilizesa 2-thread double chainstitch, providing a significantly stronger and more secure closure that resists unraveling even under extreme pressure. Its heavy-duty construction and high-torque motor make it the go-to solution for agricultural, chemical, and industrial packaging where a fail-safe seal isrequired.
The GK-2006-2 is optimized for sealing heavy-duty containers across several industries:
Agriculture: Sacks for grain, seed, animal feed, and fertilizer.
Construction: Bags for sand, cement, gravel, and dry chemicals.
Food Industry: Large-scale flour sacks, rice bags, and sugar containers.
Geotextiles: Joining heavy fabrics for environmental and erosion control.
Double-Thread Chainstitch: Produces a 2-thread safety stitch (ISO 401) that offers superior tensile strength compared to single-thread machines.
Heavy-Duty Build: Engineered with reinforced internal components to handle dense materials such as multi-wall paper, woven polypropylene, and burlap.
Automatic Thread Cutter: Features an integrated mechanical trimmer that slices through both threads instantly after the bag is closed, accelerating workflow.
Ergonomic Design: Includes an insulated safety handle and a lightweight yet durable frame to reduce operator fatigue during long shifts.
High-Torque Motor: Specifically tuned to maintain constant sewing speed even when penetrating thick, multi-layered bags.
Low Maintenance: Designed with easy-access oiling points and a simplified looper mechanism for field repairs and quick servicing.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs
What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?
The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.
Where does the machine oil go?
A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.
What kind of oil does this machine require?
You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.
What size table can I get with this machine?
Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.
Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?
No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
