is the definitive solution for high-speed wig construction and specialized millinery. Unlike standard flat-bed machines, itspost-bed configurationandspherical needle areaallow for effortless rotation and stitching around curved surfaces. The integratedDirect Drive Servo Motorensures silent, high-torque operation with needle-positioning accuracy, making it an essential tool for professional wig makers and specialty garment manufacturers.
The GC-8810DW is optimized for "climbing" over thick sections and navigating concave/convex shapes:
Wig Manufacturing: Attaching hair wefts to lace foundations and constructing wig caps.
Millinery: Shaping and stitching hats, fascinators, and structural headpieces.
Small Leather Goods: Navigating tight corners in small bags, pouches, or footwear.
Special Spherical Needle Area: Specifically designed to accommodate the unique geometry of wigs and headwear, allowing the operator to sew tight curves without fabric bunching.
Direct Drive Servo Motor: The motor is built directly into the machine head, eliminating V-belts to reduce noise, vibration, and energy consumption by up to 70%.
Post-Bed Design: Provides a narrow, elevated workspace that is ideal for sewing tubular, hollow, or curved items that cannot be processed on a flat surface.
Vertical Axis Hook: Ensures stable stitch formation at high speeds and reduces thread tension issues, common when working with synthetic hair and mesh.
Drop Feed Mechanism: Provides precise control over material movement, ensuring consistent stitch length even on delicate or slippery foundations.
Integrated LED Lighting: A built-in lamp illuminates the specific needle entry point, critical for the high-precision work required in wig ventilated-base sewing.
90 Days labor on defects in materials and workmanship.
** Head Only option does not include the table, legs, Servo Motor, and LED Lamp. No assembly or residential charges necessary.
DISCLAIMER: DUE TO THE WEIGHT AND SHIPPING METHODS USED FOR INDUSTRIAL MACHINES THEY MAY EXPERIENCE MARRING AND SCRATCHES DURING SHIPPING. THIS WILL NOT AFFECT THE OPERATION OF THE MACHINE.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs
What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?
The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.
Where does the machine oil go?
A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.
What kind of oil does this machine require?
You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.
What size table can I get with this machine?
Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.
Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?
No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
