New-Tech GC-810W

is a versatile, high-precision post-bed sewing machine specifically configured for 3D and spherical sewing tasks. Featuring a 7-inch raised column, this machine provides the essential clearance needed for wig cap construction, hat crown detailing, and footwear assembly. Equipped with a specialized roller foot and an energy-efficient servo motor, it offers the surgical precision required for intricate curves and edge-stitching on light-to-medium materials.

  • 7" Post-Bed Design: The elevated slender column allows you to rotate and maneuver bulky, non-flat items like wig domes, sneakers, and hats with 360-degree freedom.
  • Wig & Hat Optimization: Comes pre-configured for millinery and wig-making, including specialized attachments to ensure smooth feeding of mesh and cap materials.
  • Precision Roller Foot: Unlike a flat presser foot, the roller mechanism glides over multi-layered materials and allows for sharp, effortless turns without bunching.
  • Variable Speed Servo Motor: Provides a quiet, vibration-free experience. Beginners can sew stitch-by-stitch for detail work, while professionals can ramp up to 2,500 SPM.
  • Vertical Axis Hook: Engineered for smooth thread delivery and quiet operation, even at high speeds.
  • Reverse Feed Lever: Easily reinforce your seams at the start and end of every stitch line for long-lasting durability.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
