New-Tech GC-664-01DA

is a high-performance industrial coverstitch machine engineered for professional hemming and decorative stitching. Featuring a Cylinder Bed design, it allows operators to easily sew tubular items like sleeves, necklines, and waistbands that are difficult to manage on a flatbed machine. The Built-in Direct Drive Servo Motor ensures quiet, vibration-free operation with instant needle response, providing the precision required for high-volume garment manufacturing.

  • Direct Drive System: The motor is integrated directly into the machine head, eliminating belts to provide higher energy efficiency, lower noise, and smoother starts.
  • Cylinder Bed Architecture: The slim, tubular bed is specifically designed for effortless handling of circular sewing tasks such as cuffs, collars, and children's wear.
  • Versatile 5-Thread Configuration: Capable of producing a 3-needle top-and-bottom coverstitch, or a 2-needle stitch with the top spreader removed, offering flexibility for both structural and decorative seams.
  • Speed & Precision Control: Easily adjust the maximum sewing speed and set the needle position (Up/Down) via the digital control panel.
  • Automatic Lubrication: A fully enclosed oiling system keeps the internal components running smoothly at high speeds while preventing oil leaks onto the fabric.
  • Differential Feed Adjustment: Fine-tune the material feed to prevent puckering on thin silks or stretching on elastic knits.
  • Integrated LED Lighting: A built-in LED lamp provides a shadow-free view of the needle area, enhancing accuracy and reducing eye fatigue.
  • Stitch Type: 3-Needle, 5-Thread Coverstitch
  • Max. Sewing Speed: 6,000 Stitches per Minute (SPM)
  • Needle Spacing: 5.6mm (Standard) / 6.4mm
  • Stitch Length: 1.2mm – 4.4mm
  • Differential Feed Ratio: 0.5 – 1.3
  • Cylinder Circumference: 280mm
  • Presser Foot Lift: 5mm
  • Needle System: UY128GAS (#9 to #14)
  • Motor: 550W Direct Drive Servo Motor (110V)
  • Lubrication: Fully Automatic

The GC-664-01DA is essential for high-speed finishing in the following areas:

  • Tubular Apparel: Hemming sleeves, necklines, and leg openings on T-shirts and sweatshirts.
  • Sportswear: High-stretch flat seams for leggings, compression gear, and yoga wear.
  • Underwear & Lingerie: Precise hemming and elastic attachment on delicate knits.
  • Children's Clothing: Maneuvering around small-diameter openings where flatbed machines cannot reach.

U.S. WARRANTY:

90 Days labor on defects in materials and workmanship.

** Head Only option does not include the table, legs, Servo Motor, and LED Lamp. No assembly or residential charges necessary.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
