New-Tech 20U93D

is a highly versatile industrial machine that bridges the gap between a standard straight stitcher and a heavy-duty zig-zag machine. This modern iteration features a Built-in Direct Drive Servo Motor, providing superior needle penetration power and near-silent operation. Capable of switching instantly from a straight stitch to a wide 9mm zig-zag, the 20U93D is an essential tool for apparel finishing, sailmaking, and specialty craft shops that require a multi-functional workhorse.

  • Integrated Direct Drive Motor: The motor is mounted directly to the machine head, eliminating belts to provide 70% energy savings, reduced vibration, and instant start/stop response.
  • Dual Functionality: Easily toggle between high-speed straight stitching and adjustable zig-zag patterns using the ergonomic lever.
  • 9mm Wide Zig-Zag: Offers a generous stitch width of up to 9mm, ideal for decorative finishes, satin stitching, and heavy-duty reinforcement.
  • Variable Needle Positioning: Features a 3-position needle adjustment (Left, Center, Right), allowing for precise zipper installation and edge stitching without moving the fabric.
  • Automatic Lubrication: An upgraded internal oiling system ensures all high-speed components are protected, extending the machine's life during industrial use.
  • Digital Speed Control: The integrated control panel allows the operator to set a maximum speed limit, making it perfect for both delicate intricate work and high-speed production.
  • Large Workspace: The machine is mounted on a full-sized industrial table, providing ample room for handling large garments, curtains, or upholstery panels.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
