Kansai Special NFS6604GMH-DD
is a premier industrial flatseamer designed specifically for medium-to-heavy knit fabrics. This 4-needle, 6-thread feed-off-the-arm machine produces exceptionally flat, durable, and aesthetic seams, making it the industry standard for high-performance sportswear and quality underwear. Engineered for 24/7 production, it features a direct-drive servo motor for maximum torque and precision without the noise or vibration of belt-driven systems.
- Precision Flat Seaming: Achieves perfectly flat joins with both-side fabric trimming, ensuring a smooth finish that is comfortable against the skin—critical for compression gear and athletic wear.
- Direct-Drive Technology: The integrated servo motor is housed directly within the machine head, providing immediate needle response, energy efficiency, and silent operation.
- Adjustable Feeding System: Features external levers for quick adjustment of stitch length and differential feed, allowing you to handle varied material weights without stopping production.
- Pneumatic Suction & Chain Cutter: Includes a high-efficiency pneumatic suction device and chain cutter to keep the workspace clean and significantly reduce trimming time.
- Ergonomic Cylinder Bed: The feed-off-the-arm design is optimized for tubular garments, such as sleeve inseams and leg openings on heavy fleece or thermal wear.
- Digital Hand Pulley: Offers the operator fine-tuned control for precise needle positioning during technical sewing operations.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs
What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?
The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.
Where does the machine oil go?
A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.
What kind of oil does this machine require?
You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.
What size table can I get with this machine?
Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.
Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?
No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR
Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
They use up to 90% less power than clutch motors
They are 1/3 lighter than clutch motors
With a flick of the switch, you can reverse motor rotation
No parts to wear out or adjust
No matter how hard you press the foot pedal, the configured speed remains the same.
