The Juki TL-2010Q is a high-performance sewing and quilting machine. The TL-2010Q is a single needle, lock-stitch, portable machine, constructed of aluminum die-casting to ensure industrial-quality sewing.

    FOOT CONTROLLER WITH THREAD TRIMMING FUNCTION:

    It is possible to automatically trim both needle and bobbin threads by pressing the heel side of foot controller. The foo controller is big enough and it is easy to control sewing start and stop.

    SUB TENSION UNIT:

    Even if strongly twisted thread should be used, the unit will avoid "return of twist of thread" and supply needle thread to the main tension unit without thread quivering. It helps sewers created even stitches with stable thread tension.

    MAXIMUM SEWING SPEED CONTROL:

    The new speed control lever gives you complete control over sewing speed. Set the speed from 200 to 1500 stitches per minute, or any speed in between for free motion, and precision sewing. This is ideal for free motion quilting or when fixed sewing speed is required for your sewing techniques.

    PREDETERMINED STOP POSITION OF THE NEEDLE:

    When you stop sewing, the machine will com too and accurate stop with the needle down. To move the needle up or down as desired, simply press the needle up/down button. WHen the button is pressed continuously, the machine sews stitch by stitch at low speed.

    KNEE LIFTER LEVER:

    The knee lifter ever allows you to lift or lower the presser foot without you hands. The presser foot an be raised as high as 12mm, so that light to heavy weight materials are handled easily.

    TWO TYPES OF QUILTING FOOT/DROP FEED:

    JUKI Two Type of Quilting Foot Drop Feed

    The quilting feet are designed for free motion quilting and free-hand embroidery. Two types of quilting feet are supplied as standard accessories with the machine. A 1/5 Quilting Foot is used for basic quilting and the 1/4 Quilting Foot for precision sewing with 1/4 inch stitch width.

    The feed dog can be raised and lowered simply by depressing a switch. When quilting, the drop feed allows you to sew curved stitches with ease. These quilting feet are designed for free motion quilting and free-hand embroidery. Just lower the feed dogs and stitch away.

    AUTOMATIC THREAD TRIMMER:

    The automatic thread trimming device simultaneously trims needle and bobbin threads at sewing end by pressing the push-button, using the same thread trimming mechanism as our industrial sewing machines. Trims thin to thick threads without fail. Auto thread trimming may be activated by the foot controller.

    A new bobbin case latch and an enlarged bobbin case area make it easier to remove and replace the bobbin. When the auxiliary table is being utilized, it is equipped with a sliding plate that allows convenient access to remove and load bobbins as well.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
