JUKI PLC-2765

is the most advanced post-bed machine in its class, engineered specifically for the precision topstitching of heavy-weight materials. It is the premier choice for manufacturing high-quality car seats, sofas, sports goods, and leather upholstery.

Featuring Organized Split Needle Bars, the PLC-2765 allows the operator to stop the right or left needle with a single lever. This is essential for creating clean, professional 90-degree corner stitches and decorative angular seams without over-stitching.

  • Organized Split Needle Bar: Instantly engage or disengage the left or right needle for perfect corners and decorative topstitching.
  • Superior Workability: An expansive 347mm (width) x 170mm (height) working space under the arm allows for easy handling of large, bulky materials like car seat panels and furniture covers.
  • Dual-Tension System: Equipped with a double-tension mechanism to handle low-count (thick) threads under high tension, ensuring consistent and beautiful stitch quality.
  • Unison-Feed (Walking Foot): The synchronized movement of the needle, presser foot, and feed dog prevents material slippage, even when sewing over multi-layered or slippery fabrics.
  • Large 2.0-Fold Hook: The vertical-axis large hook holds 25% more thread than standard bobbins, significantly reducing downtime for bobbin changes.
  • Adjustable Alternating Movement: A large dial on the machine head allows for easy adjustment of the walking foot's vertical stroke (up to 9mm) to clear thick seams or varying material thicknesses.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
