JUKI MO-6914C

is the industry standard for high-volume production of circular or tubular items. Its specialized small-radius cylinder bed allows operators to easily handle sleeves, cuffs, necklines, and children's wear—tasks that are difficult or impossible on a standard flatbed serger.

Engineered for durability and precision, this machine features JUKI’s advanced "C-series" technology, which ensures consistent, soft seams even when operating at speeds up to 8,000 stitches per minute. This setup comes complete with a professional industrial workstation, featuring a silent, energy-efficient servo motor.

  • Small-Radius Cylinder Bed: The narrow cylinder design is optimized for sewing small-diameter tubular parts, ensuring smooth material handling without stretching.
  • 4-Thread Versatility: Provides a strong, elastic safety stitch (overlock + chain) that is perfect for high-stretch knitwear and activewear.
  • Ultra-High Speed: Capable of reaching up to 8,000 SPM, significantly increasing production output for industrial facilities.
  • Advanced Lubrication System: Features a forced circulation mechanism with an oil filter, ensuring the needle bar and looper stay cool and lubricated during long shifts.
  • Micro-Lifter Capability: Allows the presser foot to be slightly raised for sewing delicate or high-stretch fabrics, preventing material slippage and uneven feeding.
  • Differential Feed Adjustment: Easily tune the ratio to prevent puckering on lightweight fabrics or waving on heavy knits.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
