JUKI MO-6804S-0A4-150

is a high-performance, 1-needle, 3-thread overlock machine designed for the modern garment factory. As part of Juki's advanced "S" series, this model features Semi-Dry Head technology, which utilizes a special surface treatment on the needle bar and a forced oil circulation system to ensure that your fabrics remain 100% free of oil stains.

This serger is optimized for light-to-medium weight materials, delivering beautiful, soft seams even at its blistering top speed of 7,000 SPM.

  • Semi-Dry Technology: The needle bar mechanism is designed to run without oil, eliminating the risk of oil splashes on high-value garments.
  • Blazing Production Speed: With a maximum speed of 7,000 SPM, it significantly reduces production time for high-volume orders.
  • Soft & Flexible Seams: Improved thread tension mechanisms produce high-quality seams that move with the fabric, ideal for modern stretch materials.
  • Safety Switch Protection: Includes a safety microswitch that prevents the machine from operating while the side cover or cloth plate is open.
  • Micro-Lifter Capability: Allows the presser foot to float slightly above the fabric, preventing puckering and damage to delicate or velvet-like materials.
  • Quiet Servo Motor: The brushless motor offers 90% energy savings and allows for precise speed control and silent operation.
  • Stitch Type: 1-Needle, 3-Thread Overlock (Stitch Type 504)
  • Max Speed: 7,000 SPM (Stitches Per Minute)
  • Overedging Width: 4.0mm
  • Stitch Length: 0.6mm – 3.8mm
  • Differential Feed Ratio: 1:0.7 – 1:2.0
  • Needle System: DC x 27 (Standard)
  • Presser Foot Lift: Up to 7.0mm
  • Lubrication: Automatic (Semi-dry needle bar)
  • General Apparel: Perfect for edging and seaming shirts, blouses, and trousers.
  • Knitwear & Sportswear: Ideal for t-shirts and performance gear where seam flexibility is required.
  • Delicate Fabrics: Designed for silks, synthetics, and light cottons where oil-free production is mandatory.
  • Intimate Apparel: Soft-edge finishing for lingerie and innerwear.

    JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
