JUKI MF-7523-U11/UT

is a premier 3-needle, flat-bed coverstitch machine designed for high-volume manufacturing of knitwear and intimate apparel. This model features a Universal (U11) setup for multi-purpose hemming and covering, enhanced by an Automatic Thread Trimmer (UT) to boost productivity and reduce material waste. Engineered with Juki’s legendary stitch technology, it ensures soft, high-quality seams that move with the fabric.

The "MF" series is the gold standard for cover stitchers. While the basic MF-7523 is a workhorse, the UT (Thread Trimmer) version included here pays for itself in high-speed production environments by eliminating the need for manual trimming at every stage.

  • 3-Needle Top & Bottom Coverstitch: Produces professional, elastic seams (Type 605) essential for high-quality knit garments.
  • Automatic Thread Trimmer (UT): Significantly reduces production time and thread consumption by automatically cutting threads at the end of the sewing cycle.
  • Micro-Lifter Mechanism: Prevents material slippage and uneven feeding on delicate or highly elastic fabrics by allowing the presser foot to be held slightly above the throat plate.
  • Differential Feed Adjustment: Features an external lever for quick adjustments to prevent fabric puckering or stretching (lettuce edges) during high-speed runs.
  • Oil-Shield Technology: Advanced frame and needle bar oil-protection mechanisms prevent oil spots on finished garments.
  • Silent Servo Motor: Equipped with an energy-efficient 110V Servo motor for maximum control and 90% less power consumption than traditional motors.
  • Needle System: UY128GAS (Standard)
  • Number of Needles: 3 (Can be used as 2-needle)
  • Max Sewing Speed: 6,500 Stitches Per Minute (SPM)
  • Needle Gauge (Spacing): 5.6 mm (Standard) / 6.4 mm available
  • Stitch Length: 1.2 mm to 3.6 mm
  • Differential Feed Ratio: 1:0.7 to 1:2.0
  • Presser Foot Lift: 5 mm (with top and bottom cover) / 8 mm (without top cover)
  • Lubrication: Fully Automatic (with Oil-Shielding)
  • Thread Trimmer: Electromagnetic (UT Type)
  • Activewear & Sportswear: Hemming sleeves, necklines, and bottom edges of t-shirts and jerseys.
  • Intimate Apparel: Professional covering and elastic attachment for underwear and foundation garments.
  • Knitwear: General covering and hemming on sweatshirts, pajamas, and light-to-medium weight knits.
  • Decorative Seaming: Creating high-quality top-stitching on seam joins for a "flat" professional finish.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
