JUKI MEB-3810 Series

is a newly developed, highly durable eyelet buttonholing machine specifically designed for the rigorous demands of denim and heavy cotton garment production. By integrating a direct-drive AC servomotor and an air-driven cloth cutting knife, JUKI has successfully reduced machine cycle time by approximately 22% compared to previous models.

With its computer-controlled "Active Tension" system and a maximum sewing speed of 2,500 sti/min, the MEB-3810 ensures consistent, high-quality seams even on varying material thicknesses, making it the premier choice for professional manufacturers of jeans and industrial workwear.

The MEB-3810 series is specialized into two distinct subclasses for optimal performance:

  • MEB-3810J (Jeans): Optimized for heavy-weight denim and reinforced stitching.
  • MEB-3810C (Cotton Pants): Designed for cotton trousers, chinos, and standard workwear.
  • Substantial Productivity Gains: Combines a high-speed sewing head (2,500 sti/min) with a rapid-response air-driven cloth cutting knife to deliver one of the fastest cycle times in the industry.
  • JUKI Unique Active Tension: Electronically control needle thread tension via the operation panel. Settings can be saved on a pattern-by-pattern basis to ensure repeatability and prevent stitch skipping.
  • Enhanced Viewability: The arm frame projection has been reduced and the cloth cutting knife relocated closer to the operator, providing a clear line of sight to the needle entry point.
  • Built-in LED Lighting: Standard high-intensity LED light illuminates the underside of the jaw, improving workability and accuracy during material placement.
  • Simplified Maintenance: Features a retractable bottom cover that allows operators to perform daily cleaning, threading, and looper adjustments without needing to raise the heavy machine head.
  • Lower Vibration & Noise: The direct-drive system reduces mechanical noise and vibration, creating a better working environment for operators during long shifts.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
