Juki LH-3528A

is the next generation of double-needle industrial sewing, engineered for precision and fabric safety. By incorporating Semi-Dry Head technology, Juki has eliminated oil leakage from the needle bar, ensuring your garments remain stain-free. Its advanced needle-feed mechanism prevents material slipping, making it the definitive choice for topstitching, pocket setting, and tape attaching on light-to-medium fabrics.

  • Semi-Dry Head Technology: The needle bar and thread take-up sections are lubricated with solid grease, preventing oil stains on high-end fabrics and reducing "seconds" in production.
  • Improved Needle-Feed Mechanism: Synchronized needle and feed dog movement ensures perfect material ply alignment, even when sewing slippery or delicate synthetics.
  • Reduced Tension Variation: Features a specialized tension controller that stabilizes thread delivery, resulting in beautiful, consistent stitches regardless of sewing speed.
  • Wire-Type Needle Bar Thread Guide: Significantly simplifies the threading process and ensures thread stability during high-speed operation.
  • Micro-Lifter Function: Allows the presser foot to be raised slightly to prevent material damage or "waviness" on elastic and velvet-like fabrics.
  • Low-Vibration Design: The balanced internal drive system reduces noise and operator fatigue during long shifts.
  • Energy-Efficient Servo Motor: The included adjustable-speed motor provides silent operation and precise control while reducing electricity costs by up to 90%.
  • Max. Sewing Speed: 3,000 Stitches per Minute (SPM)
  • Standard Needle Gauge: 1/4" (6.4mm)
  • Max. Stitch Length: 5mm
  • Needle Bar Stroke: 33.4mm
  • Presser Foot Lift: 7mm (Hand) / 13mm (Knee)
  • Needle System: 134R / DPx5 (Size #9 to #16 recommended)
  • Hook Type: Vertical-axis regular hook
  • Lubrication: Semi-dry (Needle bar: Grease / Hook: Minute-quantity oil)
  • Feed System: Needle-feed (prevents material shifting)
  • Bed Size: 517mm x 178mm

The LH-3528A is optimized for high-speed apparel production and decorative stitching, including:

  • Shirt Manufacturing: Precision stitching for front plackets, collars, and cuffs.
  • Jeans & Workwear: Pocket setting and decorative topstitching on light-to-medium denim.
  • Intimate Apparel: Clean, oil-free seaming for foundations and lingerie.
  • Tape Attaching: Applying side-seam tapes or decorative ribbons with perfect spacing.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
