Our semi-automatic end cutter can easily cut up to 96 inches of fabric. It's another proud addition to Gold Star Tool's excellent inventory of cutting and sewing supplies.

One person can easily operate this long-handled device, cutting down on operating costs. The machine head, if let go by the user, will return quickly and automatically. There's also an automatic function for counting and stacking cut layers of fabric, another time saver for sure.

Extremely efficient, this end cutter can shear many fabrics (including cotton, silk, nylon, canvas, plastic, leather, and much more) without wasting excess material. This reduces costs associated with less efficient devices.

The all steel blade won't wear easily, which means you won't have to replace this fabric cutter for a very long time.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
