Consew SKZ-6R-3

is a high-performance, heavy-duty industrial sewing machine engineered for medium to extra-heavyweight materials. It features a specialized 3-step, 2-stitch zig-zag (Federal Stitch Type 308), providing superior reinforcement for elastic and high-tension materials. Equipped with an extra-large rotary hook and reverse stitching, it is the industry standard for manufacturing durable goods like sails, rope products, and heavy webbing.

  • 3-Step Zig-Zag (Stitch Type 308): Designed to prevent seam cracking on elastic materials; ideal for secure, high-stress seams.
  • Extra-Large Rotary Hook: Transverse horizontal axis hook allows for longer runs with thicker threads and reduces frequent bobbin changes.
  • Extra-Wide Zig-Zag: Offers a massive 1/2" (12.7mm) stitch width for versatile industrial applications.
  • Heavy-Duty Build: Specifically engineered to handle leather, canvas, vinyl, and synthetic webbing.
  • Quiet Servo Motor: Includes a modern 110V Servo Motor for silent operation and precise digital speed control.
  • Integrated Reverse: Easily reinforce seams with a dedicated manual reverse lever.
  • Maximum Speed: 1,200 SPM (Stitches Per Minute)
  • Maximum Stitch Width: 1/2" (12.7 mm)
  • Maximum Stitch Length: 2 S.P.I. (14 mm)
  • Stitch Type: 3-step / 2-stitch Zig-Zag (Type 308)
  • Presser Foot Lift: 33/64" (13 mm)
  • Needle System: 214 x 1
  • Work Space: 10-5/8" (270 mm)
  • Bed Size: 10" x 20-15/32" (250 mm x 520 mm)
  • Hook Type: Extra-Large Transverse Horizontal Rotary Hook
  • Lubrication: Manual

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
