Consew P1510RB Single Needle Walking Foot Lockstitch Machine

is a high-performance, heavy-duty industrial sewing machine designed for professionals who demand precision and power. Featuring a compound feed (walking foot) mechanism, this machine ensures uniform stitching across a wide range of challenging materials, from lightweight fabrics to heavy leathers and technical textiles.

Whether you are in automotive upholstery, marine canvas, or luxury leather goods manufacturing, the P1510RB delivers a consistent, high-quality stitch every time.

  • True Walking Foot (Compound Feed): Synchronized needle, feed dog, and presser foot movement prevents material shifting or "creeping," even on slippery or multi-layered projects.
  • Large Vertical-Axis Rotary Hook: Equipped with a large top-loading bobbin, allowing for fewer bobbin changes and the use of thicker industrial threads.
  • Adjustable Climbing Device: A built-in dial allows you to adjust the presser foot lift height on the fly, making it easy to sew over thick cross-seams and varying material thicknesses.
  • "Roll-In" Thread System: Automatically tucks the top thread under the fabric at the start of the seam for a cleaner, professional finish.
  • Semi-Automatic Lubrication: Features a centralized oiling system that ensures long-term durability and smooth operation with minimal maintenance.
  • Safety Clutch: Protects the rotary hook from damage in the event of a thread jam or needle strike.
  • Max Sewing Speed 2,000 – 2,500 SPM (Subject to material/thread)
  • Max Stitch Length 9mm (Adjustable by dial)
  • Needle System 135 x 17 (DPx17)
  • Clearance Under Foot 9mm (Hand) / 16mm (Knee Lift)
  • Workspace (Arm) 14" (355mm) standard
  • Stitch Type 301 (Lockstitch)
  • Lubrication Semi-Automatic
  • Hook Type Vertical Axis (Large Bobbin)
  • Motor Type High-Torque Brushless Servo Motor (110V)

Ideal for medium to heavy-weight materials, including:

  • Automotive & Marine: Car seats, boat covers, and convertible tops.
  • Upholstery: Furniture, cushions, and heavy curtains.
  • Leather Goods: Handbags, luggage, belts, and footwear.
  • Outdoor Gear: Tents, awnings, tarpaulins, and camping equipment.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
