Consew P1206RB-1

is a heavy-duty workhorse designed for professional upholstery, leatherwork, and canvas assembly. Featuring a Top and Bottom Feed (Walking Foot) mechanism, this machine eliminates the "ply-shifting" that occurs with standard machines, ensuring that the top and bottom layers of your material move in perfect synchronization.

Paired with an energy-efficient Electronic Servo Motor, the P1206RB-1 offers incredible piercing power even at low speeds—essential for precision work on thick leather or multi-layered webbing. This unit is the ideal choice for those who need industrial-grade reliability in a straightforward, mechanical design.

  • True Walking Foot Mechanism: The synchronized feeding of the feed dog and the presser foot ensures a smooth feed of heavy materials like vinyl, leather, and laminated fabrics.
  • Large "M" Style Bobbin: Features a large horizontal-axis rotary hook and bobbin, holding significantly more thread than standard machines to minimize interruptions.
  • Whisper-Quiet Servo Motor: The 110V Electronic Servo Motor allows for adjustable speed control and consumes up to 90% less energy than traditional clutch motors.5
  • High Presser Foot Clearance: A 14mm (9/16") foot lift allows you to easily slide thick assemblies or bulky seams under the needle.
  • Safety Clutch: Equipped with a built-in safety clutch mechanism that automatically disengages the hook in the event of a thread jam, protecting the machine’s timing.
  • Adjustable Stitch Length: Easily modify your stitch length up to 8mm using the tactile stitch-length dial.
  • Automatic Lubrication: Features a centralized oiling system to keep internal components running smoothly under high-demand use.

Speed, Max. (S.P.M.): 3000 *Speed depends on thread, material and operation.

  • Presser Foot Lift: By Hand- 5/16" (8 mm) / By Knee- 5/8" (16 mm)
  • Needle Bar Stroke: 1-29/64" (37 mm)
  • Stitch Length, Max: 3.6 s.p.i. (7 mm)
  • Work Space: 10-1/4" x 4-3/4" (260 x 120 mm)
  • Needle: 135 x 17
  • Feed Dog: 18031
  • Pre-wound Bobbin: M

The P1206RB-1 is specifically engineered for:

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
