For closing of all kinds of bags. With simple mechanism for easier maintenance. NP-7A now comes with a tough, durable plastic handle and auto-lubrication.
(often referred to as the "Newlong" style) is the industry’s most reliable portable bag-closing solution. Engineered for continuous, high-speed operation, this handheld machine is designed to close filled bags made of paper, burlap, jute, cotton, and woven poly materials. Featuring a reinforced metal internal frame, a shock-resistant isolation handle, and an integrated auto-lubrication system, the NP7A is built for maximum durability in demanding agricultural and industrial environments.
The NP7A is a vital tool for the packaging and shipping of:
Agriculture & Feed: Closing bags of animal feed, grain, seeds, and fertilizer.
Food Production: Securing bags of flour, sugar, salt, coffee beans, and spices.
Industrial Chemicals: Handling heavy-duty sacks of chemicals, minerals, and pellets.
Construction & Logistics: Manufacturing sandbags for flood control or construction curtains.
Textiles & Materials: Joining fabrics or closing bags made of kraft paper, woven PP/PE, and burlap.
High-Speed Performance: Capable of closing a standard bag in 5–6 seconds with a top speed of 1,900 RPM.
Single-Thread Chainstitch (Type 101): Creates a secure, professional closure that is easy for the end-user to open by pulling the thread tail.
Auto-Lubrication System: Features an integrated oil pump that directs lubricant to all main moving parts with a simple push of a button, ensuring long-term reliability and low maintenance.
Shock-Resistant Handle: Equipped with a tough, insulated plastic handle designed to reduce operator fatigue and provide electrical safety.
Automatic Thread Cutting: Includes protected cutting blades that automatically sever the thread once the bag is closed, streamlining the production line.
Steel Cam Construction: Unlike cheaper alternatives with plastic components, the NP7A uses a hardened steel cam for superior longevity under heavy-duty use.
Versatile Power Options: Available in standard 110V for warehouse use, with 220V or DC battery-powered options available for field work.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs
What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?
The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.
Where does the machine oil go?
A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.
What kind of oil does this machine require?
You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.
What size table can I get with this machine?
Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.
Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?
No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
