Consew EF2502
is a specialized, single-needle industrial sewing machine designed for high-speed carpet serging. Unlike the three-thread models, the EF2502 utilizes a two-thread configuration, offering a classic, clean finish for carpet edges, runners, and mats. Engineered for efficiency, it delivers an impressive 3,500 stitches per minute, making it an essential tool for high-volume workrooms, automotive upholsterers, and rug manufacturers who demand speed without compromising on aesthetic quality.
Why Choose the EF2502?
The EF2502 is the "streamlined" sibling to the EF2503. By using a two-thread system, you achieve a slightly lower profile edge that is often preferred for contemporary rugs and automotive mats. It offers the same high-speed chassis and industrial reliability as the rest of the EF2500 series but focuses on simplicity and efficiency.
- High-Speed Throughput: Optimized for production environments with a top speed of 3,500 SPM, ensuring fast turnaround on large projects.
- Efficient 2-Thread Overedge: Provides a tight, professional edge finish while reducing thread consumption—ideal for cost-effective mass production.
- Versatile Material Handling: Designed to glide over various carpet backings, from secondary jute to modern synthetic action-back.
- Modern Servo Motor: Includes a silent, energy-efficient servo motor that allows the operator to set a maximum speed—perfect for beginners or for navigating tight corners on custom rugs.
- Heavy-Duty Construction: Features a robust casting and high-quality internal components meant for years of continuous industrial use.
- Max Sewing Speed : 3,500 SPM (Stitches Per Minute)
- Number of Threads : 2 Threads
- Overedging Width : 15/32" (12mm)
- Stitch Length : 1mm – 10mm (Adjustable)
- Needle System : DK2500A

The Consew EF2502 is the preferred choice for:
- Custom Area Rugs: Creating finished edges on remnants and custom-cut area rugs.
- Automotive Flooring: Overedging car mats and trunk liners with a professional factory look.
- Marine Carpeting: Durable edge finishing for boat and yacht interior carpets.
- Aviation Interiors: Precision serging for aircraft cabin carpeting where weight and finish are key.
- Door Mats & Runners: High-speed production of entryway mats and hallway runners.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs
What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?
The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.
Where does the machine oil go?
A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.
What kind of oil does this machine require?
You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.
What size table can I get with this machine?
Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.
Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?
No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR
Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
They use up to 90% less power than clutch motors
They are 1/3 lighter than clutch motors
With a flick of the switch, you can reverse motor rotation
No parts to wear out or adjust
No matter how hard you press the foot pedal, the configured speed remains the same.
