affectionately known in the industry as the"Tuffy,"is a high-performance portable bag closer engineered for reliability in the most demanding conditions. While sharing the "Newlongstyle" ergonomics of lighter models, the CN7A is upgraded with atotally enclosed, dust-proof motorand anextra-heavy feed dogsystem. This allows it to start sewing thick materials instantly without needing to manually raise thepresserfoot. Geotextiles: Joining fabrics for tarps, banners, and environmental covers.
Totally Enclosed & Sealed Motor: Specifically designed for environments with high levels of dust, debris, or fine particles (like flour or chemicals), preventing motor burnout and extending machine life.
Extra Heavy Feed Dog: Features an aggressive feeding mechanism that easily pulls through thick jute, heavy burlap, and multi-wall paper bags without slipping.
Automatic Thread Cutter: Integrated protected cutting blades sever the thread automatically as you finish the bag, significantly speeding up production.
High-Speed Operation: Reaches speeds of up to 1,800 Stitches Per Minute (SPM), allowing you to close a standard bag in mere seconds.
Pump Oil Lubrication System: A manual pump-action oiler directs lubrication to all vital moving components, ensuring smooth operation during long shifts.
Shock-Resistant Handle: Equipped with a safety-insulated plastic handle that reduces vibration and protects the operator from electrical hazards.
Versatile Mounting: Perfectly balanced for handheld use, but easily adapted for stationary use with an overhead spring balancer.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs
What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?
The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.
Where does the machine oil go?
A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.
What kind of oil does this machine require?
You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.
What size table can I get with this machine?
Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.
Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?
No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
