Consew CN2053R-DD
is a high-speed, versatile industrial machine designed for both straight-stitch and zig-zag applications. This model features an integrated Direct Drive Servo Motor, which replaces traditional belt-driven systems to provide near-silent operation, 70% better energy efficiency, and precise needle control.
Engineered for light-to-medium weight materials, the CN2053R-DD is a staple for apparel manufacturers and specialty craft shops. Whether you are performing general seaming, applique, or elastic attachment, its smooth feeding mechanism and adjustable stitch parameters ensure professional-grade results every time.
- Integrated Direct Drive System: The motor is built directly into the machine head, providing instant start/stop response and eliminating the noise and vibration of a clutch motor.
- Adjustable Zig-Zag Width: Features an easy-to-use lever and locking dial to adjust zig-zag width up to 9mm, allowing for a wide range of decorative and functional stitches.
- Needle Positioner: Automatically stops the needle in the "up" or "down" position, making it much easier to pivot around corners or remove finished fabric.
- Automatic Lubrication: Built-in oiling system ensures all internal metal gears and components are continuously lubricated for high-speed durability.
- Versatile Feed System: The drop-feed mechanism provides smooth movement for light fabrics like silk and medium-weight materials like denim.
- Modern LED Lighting: Integrated LED light illuminates the needle area, reducing eye strain and improving accuracy.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs
What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?
The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.
Where does the machine oil go?
A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.
What kind of oil does this machine require?
You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.
What size table can I get with this machine?
Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.
Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?
No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR
Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
They use up to 90% less power than clutch motors
They are 1/3 lighter than clutch motors
With a flick of the switch, you can reverse motor rotation
No parts to wear out or adjust
No matter how hard you press the foot pedal, the configured speed remains the same.
