Consew CM794-DD

is a professional-grade, high-speed industrial overlock machine designed for high-volume production and precision finishing. Featuring a modern Direct-Drive system, this 2-needle, 4-thread serger offers superior energy efficiency, reduced noise, and precise speed control compared to traditional belt-driven machines. Whether you are running a boutique tailoring shop or a high-output manufacturing floor, the CM794-DD delivers consistent, high-quality seams on light to medium-weight fabrics.

The Consew CM794-DD

represents the next generation of overlock technology. By replacing the traditional under-table motor with a Direct-Drive system, Consew has created a machine that is more responsive, easier to control, and much quieter. It is a true "workhorse" designed for 24/7 operation, offering the reliability of an industrial machine with the refined control of modern electronics.

  • Integrated Direct-Drive Motor: The motor is built directly into the machine head, eliminating the need for a belt. This results in quieter operation, less vibration, and up to 70% energy savings.
  • High-Speed Performance: Capable of reaching speeds up to 6,000 stitches per minute (SPM) for maximum productivity.
  • Differential Feed Adjustment: Features a micro-adjustment dial to prevent puckering or stretching, ensuring smooth seams on knits and elastic materials.
  • Automatic Lubrication System: A fully automatic "oil-dry" system ensures internal parts stay lubricated, extending the machine’s lifespan while preventing oil stains on fabrics.
  • Built-in LED Lighting: Illuminates the needle area for better visibility and reduced eye strain during detailed work.
  • Versatile 4-Thread Design: Provides a strong, professional mock-safety stitch ideal for activewear, t-shirts, and casual apparel.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
