Consew 7360R-7DD
represents the next generation of industrial sewing. This high-speed, single-needle lockstitch machine features a Direct-Drive motor and a fully automated "7-function" system. Engineered for light to medium-weight fabrics, it eliminates the need for a drive belt, resulting in a quieter workspace and instant needle response. With automatic thread trimming and back-tacking, this machine is built for ultra-high-speed production environments where precision and speed are paramount.
The "DD" (Direct Drive) and "7" (Automatic Functions) designations mean this machine is designed for maximum through put. By automating the start and end of every seam (back-tacking and trimming), you can save up to 2-3 seconds per operation—which adds up to hours of saved time in a professional production setting.
- Integrated Direct-Drive Motor: The motor is built directly into the machine head, providing 100% power transfer, reduced noise, and zero vibration.
- Fully Automated Functions: Includes automatic thread trimming, auto-backtacking, and a programmable needle positioner (Up/Down).
- Digital Control Panel: Easily program stitch counts, speed limits, and specialized tacking patterns via the integrated LCD interface.
- High-Speed Productivity: Capable of reaching up to 5,000 SPM, making it one of the fastest lockstitch machines in its class.
- Energy Efficient: Uses up to 70% less electricity than traditional clutch motors and only runs when the pedal is depressed.
- Automatic Lubrication: Features a centralized oiling system to ensure all internal components stay lubricated during high-speed operation.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs
What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?
The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.
Where does the machine oil go?
A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.
What kind of oil does this machine require?
You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.
What size table can I get with this machine?
Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.
Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?
No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR
Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
They use up to 90% less power than clutch motors
They are 1/3 lighter than clutch motors
With a flick of the switch, you can reverse motor rotation
No parts to wear out or adjust
No matter how hard you press the foot pedal, the configured speed remains the same.
