Consew 339RBL-25

is engineered for "heavy-weight" materials that require significant maneuverability. Featuring a massive 25-inch (635mm) horizontal clearance, it eliminates the struggle of bunching large fabric panels like boat covers, truck tarps, and leather hides. Its Unison-Feed (Triple Feed) mechanism ensures that both needles produce perfectly parallel, uniform stitches without material shifting, even when crossing thick seams.

  • 25-Inch Long-Arm Workspace: Provides an expansive 635mm area between the needle and the arm, essential for sewing large panels, furniture covers, and sails.
  • Unison-Feed (Triple Feed): Synchronized movement of the needle, feed dog, and walking foot provides powerful traction to prevent slipping on vinyl, leather, or canvas.
  • Large Vertical-Axis Hooks: Features two "Jumbo" bobbins that hold significantly more thread, reducing downtime for bobbin changes during long production runs.
  • Double Needle Precision: Creates two rows of perfectly parallel stitching. Standard 1/4" (6.4mm) gauge is included, with other sizes available to suit structural or decorative needs.
  • Safety Clutch Mechanism: Built-in safety device automatically disengages the hooks in the event of a thread jam, protecting the timing and internal gears from damage.
  • Centrally Driven Feed: Ensures the feeding of the material is consistent across both needles, even at high speeds of up to 2,000 SPM.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
