Consew 339RBATCWL(N)
is a high-performance, automated industrial powerhouse designed for high-volume manufacturing of medium to heavyweight materials. This model combines a Triple Feed (Compound Feed) system with a suite of automatic features—including thread trimming and backtacking—to maximize productivity. The "(N)" designation indicates the inclusion of a Pneumatic Foot Lift, making it the ultimate solution for professional upholstery, automotive interiors, and heavy canvas work where speed and precision are paramount.
- Full Automatic Suite: Increases throughput with programmable automatic thread trimming, automatic backtacking, and automatic needle up/down positioning.
- Pneumatic Foot Lift (N): Allows for hands-free operation and easy maneuvering of bulky materials by lifting the presser foot via air-powered controls.
- Triple Feed (Compound Feed): Synchronized drop feed, needle feed, and alternating (walking) presser feet eliminate material slippage and ensure perfectly uniform stitches across multiple layers.
- Large Vertical Axis Hooks: Features high-capacity bobbins to reduce downtime for thread changes, essential for long-run production.
- Centra-Lube® System: A semi-automatic lubrication system that ensures critical components are consistently oiled, extending the life of the machine and ensuring smooth operation at high speeds.
- Safety Clutch: Automatically disengages the hooks in the event of a thread jam or needle strike, protecting the internal timing and preventing costly repairs.
- Digital Servo Motor: Provides silent operation, precise speed control (from a crawl to 3,000 SPM), and up to 90% energy savings over traditional clutch motors.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs
What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?
The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.
Where does the machine oil go?
A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.
What kind of oil does this machine require?
You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.
What size table can I get with this machine?
Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.
Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?
No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR
Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
They use up to 90% less power than clutch motors
They are 1/3 lighter than clutch motors
With a flick of the switch, you can reverse motor rotation
No parts to wear out or adjust
No matter how hard you press the foot pedal, the configured speed remains the same.
