Consew 205RB-7DD

represents the next generation of heavy-duty sewing technology. Built on a foundation of reliability, this machine features a powerful Triple Feed (Walking Foot) mechanism that ensures even the toughest materials—like thick leather, heavy canvas, and multi-layered upholstery—are fed with absolute precision.

What sets the 7DD apart is its integrated Direct Drive system and Full Automation. By eliminating the belt-driven motor and adding automatic thread trimming and foot lifting, this machine increases production speed by up to 40% while reducing operator fatigue and noise levels.

For sewing light to heavy-weight fabric, canvas, leather, vinyl, synthetics and various laminated and coated materials

Designed for stitching such products as auto, boat and furniture upholstery, tarpaulins, covers, awnings, tents, handbags, luggage, sports and camping equipment, outdoor clothing, footwear, orthopedic appliances, ballistic armor, parachute containers, etc.

  • Full Automation Suite: Features Automatic Thread TrimmingAutomatic Back-tacking, and Automatic Presser Foot Lift for a seamless, hands-free workflow.
  • Integrated Direct-Drive Motor: The motor is built directly into the machine head, providing 70% energy savings, silent operation, and high-torque needle penetration at low speeds.
  • True Triple Feed (Walking Foot): Synchronized needle, feed dog, and vibrating presser foot feeding ensures zero material slippage on heavy or "sticky" fabrics.
  • Large Horizontal Rotary Hook: Equipped with a large capacity "M" style bobbin, reducing thread changes during large-scale projects.1
  • Digital Control Panel: Easily program stitch sequences, set constant speeds, and toggle automatic functions with the user-friendly digital interface.
  • Safety Clutch: Built-in mechanism protects the hook from damage by disengaging the timing if the machine encounters a thread jam.
  • Electronic Needle Positioner: Automatically stops the needle in the "up" or "down" position to make cornering and material removal faster.
  • Speed, Max (S.P.M.) 3000
  • Stitch Length 3 s.p.i. (8 mm)

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
