Consew 146RBL-2A-1

is a specialized, heavy-duty industrial machine engineered for large-scale projects requiring reinforced zig-zag stitching. With an expansive 30-inch long arm, it offers the workspace necessary for handling bulky items like sails, awnings, and covers. The integrated Walking Foot (Top Feed) and Drop Feed system guarantee synchronized material movement, preventing ply-shift even when sewing multi-layered or slippery fabrics.

  • Extra-Long 30" Reach: Massive 762mm clearance for sewing large textile panels and heavy-duty covers.
  • Walking Foot Mechanism: Top and bottom feed ensures consistent stitching on heavy or uneven materials.
  • 3-Step Zig-Zag Pattern: Creates a strong, elastic 2-stitch/3-step pattern ideal for reinforcement and stretch applications.
  • Large "M" Style Bobbin: Equipped with a large horizontal axis rotary hook to handle thicker threads and reduce bobbin changes.
  • Adjustable Speed Servo Motor: Features an energy-efficient brushless motor for quiet, powerful, and controllable sewing.
  • Reverse Stitching: Large lever for easy back-tacking and seam reinforcement.
  • Max Speed: 2,500 SPM (Stitches Per Minute)

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SERVO MOTOR

Because of the Servo motor speed control, most users find the machine more straightforward to use. Both beginning and seasoned sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that don't demand high-speed stitching.
