60" Waterproof Oxford Canvas Fabric UV Resistant

The PU solution canvas waterproof oxford fabric is perfect for indoor and outdoor use. This fabric is 600x600 denier, 100% polyester, and 58/60” wide. The canvas waterproof features a polyurethane solution (PU) backing with a waterproof coating, making it highly sturdy and vigorous. The PU solution allows the fabric to have enhanced UV resistance of at least 1,000 hours, double the UV resistance of the PVC-covered canvas fabric. After 1,000 hours, the fabric may experience some fading depending on the environmental factors that surround the fabric. Additionally, the fabric has mold-resistant qualities to augment its outdoor capabilities. The thickness of the canvas measures approximately 0.45mm, and each roll is approximately 50 yards. The price is per yard. Furthermore, the PU-coated canvas is a bit more flexible than its PVC-coated counterpart but has the same resistance against creasing while maintaining flexibility. The waterproof canvas fabric can easily be used on most sewing machines.

This fabric is created using solution-dyed fibers, which helps it retain its color at the utmost quality. In addition, this method allows the fibers to be individually dyed while they are spun before weaving. This locks the colors into the fibers, significantly improving the quality of color, UV resistance, and quality of the fabric overall.

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
