4th of July Pinwheel Quilt

Quilts are easy to make if you have the proper tools and materials, and this 4th of July-inspired pinwheel quilt is sure to be perfect for picnics in the park, garden parties, watching the fireworks, and much more this summer.
What You’ll Need
To make your very own 4th of July pinwheel quilt, all you’ll need is a few simple materials. In addition to your sewing machine, make sure you have 82 total 10”x10” square pieces of fabric that can be put together to make a square. Make sure the fabric you choose is cozy so that your quilt will be as functional as it is visually appealing!
Half of your squares should be plain white, and the other half should be red or blue patterns of your choice. You can add more or fewer pieces to this total to make your finished quilt larger or smaller.
How to Make a 4th of July Pinwheel Quilt with a Sewing Machine
To begin, have your 41 colored and 41 white square fabric pieces ready. Take one colored and one white piece and layer them to make a square that’s half white and half colored. Repeat this step until every square is half white, half colored.
Trim your new and improved square pieces down to 9 ½” by 9 ½”. Then lay them out side by side to create the pinwheel pattern you’re looking for. Once you’re satisfied with the look of your quilt, begin stitching the squares together in rows to create your finished product.
You can turn your squares over and stitch on the backside to create a less visible seam, if desired.
